Services for Employers

Working Today offers information and advice for all work-related situations, ranging from the most basic to the complex. We also can provide a range of training, advice, mediation and consultancy services to promote a productive workforce.

Services for high performance workplaces

Working Today carries out Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessments for prospective or curent employees. Our consultants are accredited to provide this service. Please contact Claire Woods for more details, including cost for this service.

Working Today assists employers and employees to develop high value productive workplaces. Effective business improvement workplace change builds on effective communication and consultation. These skills must be developed and nurtured to deliver results for all players in a workplace. Does your workplace know how to

  • set goals
  • develop strategies
  • solve problems
  • monitor and evaluate progress?

Working Today facilitates and trains for business improvement skills.

Agreements

Arising out of business improvement strategies, Working Today will help you put together an agreement that reflects your joint commitment to the future of the business. Through discussions with the employer and representatives of employees, a Working Today consultant will draft a workplace agreement that all stakeholders can be proud of and committed to. Working Today then fulfills the requirements for certification of your workplace's agreement in the Industrial Relations Commission

Mediation

Working Today can assist in brokering resolutions to disagreements between employees, or where employer and employee differences of view have emerged. We provide a third-party neutral input to assist you towards agreement. We look for 'win-win' outcomes in our mediations.

Communications

Writing for employee-focused in-house newsletters, web sites, etc.

Structured Change

We can assist with the design and implementation phases of changes to workplace structure - new technology and/or processes, flexibility, recruiting and change arising from increased or decreased workload, redundancy, etc.

Discrimination

Employers can be held liable for discriminatory acts done by employees. Working Today will train employers and staff to be aware of the laws regarding discrimination and set up mechanisms to reduce exposure to claims.

Our Consultants

Our workplace consultants have over thirty years experience in industry.

  • Claire Woods
Claire is accredited to administer Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality tests. She has many years experience in the finance industry at senior levels, and is currently completing  an MBA. She has facilitated agreement-making in several industries.

Our Clients

Our clients are a mixture of employers (20%) and individual employees (80%) who have sought independent advice and assistance from us. Our consultants have conducted mediations for a regional airline, assisted manufacturing firms and non-profit community groups with negotiating certified agreements, research/writing for a medical practitioners' college and for a national education organisation.

Our industrial advice is based on our experience assisting employers and employees to work more productively - we are not lawyers.

For agreements and other complex work, we will negotiate an hourly rate. Special rates are available for not-for-profit bodies. Feel free to contact us for an initial chat without cost or obligation.
